portal 2 freezes can someone help

i have portal 2 and about ten minutes into playing the game will freeze

i can run it i have a high end laptop alienware m14x

reinstall it and while it's doing that go watch tv or go breathe some fresh air, if that doesnt work, like I said, check ur specs

EVERYTHING! select the game on the steam shop and in the bottom u will see the requirements

these were the requirements i have them all but my os is win8 not any of the ones listed is that the reason my game freezes btw i hav both the nvidia 7600 geforce and the intel hd 2000 and a 3.4 ghz i7 processor and plenty of memory

AHAH XD windows 8 Oh my god I can bellive ... dont u see windows 8 will be like windows vista a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disaster for the pc industry, and yes for what I see people are having problems playing this and other games in windows 8 so if I were u I would format completely ur pc and install windows 7 or if u bought the pc I would smash it in the face of the person u sold it too u.
