Co-op partner desyncs

I can not play the coop with my brother because after a while our games show him in different places, so we cant solve the puzzles...

Any ideas?

I am guessing it could be that I have a Razer Hydra controller, so I also have the motion pack installed. That could be messing up the multiplayer...
