Can someone help me? Portal 2 crashing

here recently portal 2 has been crashing at random moments it might crash right as i open it or 1 hour later.I dont have the torrent version by the way.I wanted to see if someone could help me with my problem

Same to me.

for the cache is library> portal 2> right click> propierties> verify game cache
I do that and still crahses.
If someone knows how to fix that i will kiss that man/woman

You have to click on local files, don't you? But that would work, sage advice!

Yeah. Seems P2 is plagued with problems. I wish VALVe had taken care of some of them before releasing it...oh well, can't be helped.

Validating your local files will solve the recent crashing (since last update about 3 weeks ago), but I notice I need to do this immediatly before each time I play. I hope they fix it soon especially because robot enrichment was also affected and can no longer connect to steam.

I had crashes with portal 2 at start but I solved it once again (though don't remember how) and not always did the verifying thing work. It had something to do with deleting a file inside portal 2 folders or updating some stuff on your computer.

I know, they really need to fix these bugs before making other games. Improve the games you have, THEN make new ones...

I had a problem where I couldn't connect to co-op except with random selection. I contacted Steam support to fix this. They said to go into C: drive and select the Steam folder, delete all but the user app folder, the steam.exe file. Did so, but NOW the game keeps crashing on load-up. I've played this game single player with no problems. But co-op is just finicky!
