Doug Rattmann - is he alive?

Alright, I'm gonna start this off by saying I have found a small easter egg in the ending
No, its not the frankencube. Everyone figured that out ages ago. No, when you see 4 turrets at the start, there is a fan there. Now, I suspect everyone knows about the final rat den. Theres a fan there. Is it GLaDOS who rigs up the turret opera - or Doug Rattmann? Also, in the last rat den, you hear Doug Rattmann's voice. So possibly Doug Rattmann is there. If he is, its a very strong possibility he set up the Turret Opera. What do you think?

It cant be Ratman. Translate the Turret Opera to english, its GLaDOS who set it up, the mumbling of Ratman could just be a recording hidden behind the wall. So no I dont think he is alive.

Actually, Valve never said whether Doug Rattmann was dead or alive.
I obviously think Doug Rattmann is alive, but I think the Turret Opera was all GLaDOS, as was the return of Chell's burned, charred Companion Cube. Rattmann would have to have been an idiot to not add cryogenic power to that bed he fell asleep in in Lab Rat. Plus, he said, "you see, I told you I would always need you" to his Companion Cube, making me think that he's returned. Add the new murals and the creepy rambling, and you have got your answer. Doug Rattmann... IS ALIVE!!

Every single time I see this kind of post I think in three things. They was wounded, the chamber wasn't correctly closed due to one sheet of paper between the glass and the relaxation chamber, and the companion cube on the Moon. If you ask me, I think that GlaDos sent to Rattmann to the Moon, and he died there...

GLaDOS wouldn't want her beloved facility to be damaged pointlessly, which is reason number 8,000 why she hates Chell. And after we saw the damage that shooting a portal on the moon did to the facility's structure, I'm sure GLaDOS wouldn't want to experience that again.

He plugged Chell's chamber into the power reserve, but not any others, as far as we know. So, if his chamber wasn't plugged into the power reserve, then he simply would have died shortly after, due to not having access to the life support.
