There was a sequel planned called "Star Wars Imperial Commando" but it was cancelled.

that's it we need to contact devs, make petitions, raise money whatever we need this game... we need it done right though give them like 3 years to work on it.

Well Battlefront eventually became a thing (for better or worse)... so maybe we can get a sequel to this as well. Who knows.

But he also says that it's very unlikely that there will be a RC 2

It unknown if EA will want to develop an sequel/Spiritual sequel to the game since (according to some sources) Disney doesnt want EA to develop games outside of the original Trilogy timeline.

There are some chances that maybe they will develop an Singleplayer/Co-Op first person shooter but it will no Republic Commando 2.
