I've played 70 + hours over 4 campaigns. Couldn't really get into any of them. It seems that the developer had a "great idea" to make the game better and actually made it worse. The game doesn't allow you to play it at your own pace. it's always hurrying you onto the next quest or objective without giving you the control over whether you build up your armies, build up your cities or expand the empire. I seem to be rushed from fight to fight meaning I have no money because i'm always building armies and defending a minimum of two fronts, which means I neglect the cities which causes insurgencies and I never have any tech. If you chose to ignore the games pace then you get crushed by several armies or an empire has got so big by then that you literally might as well just quit because there's no way you're beating them. The pacing is off which is ironic considering warhammer table top take like 2 hours to have 4 turns each from 2 players.
Poor. Poor on many accounts. It's a shame because total war warhammer 1 is one of my favourite strategies and probably my favourite total war. I just don't understand how the second one is such a P.O.S.
Really wouldn't recommend unless you're the sort of person who likes being hurried out of a shopping store 3 mins before it closes, because that's how I feel the game is. It's like it doesn't actually want you there and wants to get you through as quickly as it can and if you're not quick enough then BAM! You're done.

Fun game. Have a few hours in it. If you don't play empire, you're doing it wrong. Colonialism at it's finest. By Sigmar's Will.

If you liked Warhammer I, you'll love Warhammer II. If you've never played this series, I prefer Warhammer II to Warhammer I and would suggest you start here. Just keep in mind that a lot (if not most) the races/leaders are DLC or require you to buy Warhammer I to access them.
