New patch available in public beta
Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, the last patch was not as thorough as we expected, leaving issues like corrupted textures as well as broken particles and building models unresolved for some of you.
We now have a new version of the game available which we successfully tested on several systems and with different content configurations. However, to make sure that the same applies for all of you, we kindly ask you for your assistance in testing this new patch. To do so, please subscribe to the public beta of the game (instructions are posted below).
We at Kalypso Media would like to apologise for the trouble some of you have had with the game since the latest updates. We hope that this patch fixes these issues and that you can continue to enjoy your dictatorship in Tropico from now on.

How to enter the public beta for Tropico 4:
- Open your Steam Library
- Right-click on Tropico 4 and select "Properties"
- Select the "Betas" tab
- Select the textbox and enter the password "YwK38!0grZ$7mFs5" (without the quotation marks).
- Click on the "Check Code" button
- A notification should pop up, stating that the beta 'public_beta' is now available
- From the drop down menu, choose "public_beta"
- Close the "Properties" window and restart your Steam Client.
- Steam should now start to download an update for Tropico 4.

Update: The beta patch has been set to the default branch of the game, so for now, you don't have to subscribe to the public beta anymore. Thank you so much for your assistance!

Tropico 4 + All DLC: PRe-Patch the textures were bugged on Modern Times buildings and the 7 Star Hotel appeared to have had turned into a fountain and caused it's furniture to hover above the roof. Beta patch fixed it for me.

The smoke textures are back, and so is the MT building colours and the building borders. I also had some wierd issues with the beaches if buildings are built close to them, but that is also resolved. Thanks for the patch guys. =)

Getting a beta code invalid message when I copy and paste the code without quotations... Have you pushed this to the live build already?
