Just bought this trilogy and must say I am really dissapointed with the directors cut.

I am only minutes into this game and already regret not getting the original instead. First issue was the cut scene where suddenly the audio glitched out making a horrible loud screeching sound every 2 seconds, which meant that I had to hit escape to skip the cutscene. Now I have no way to watch what I missed without restarting the game.
Then when I am finally in the game it turns out that all hotspots are highlighted with no option to turn that off?? Why would that not at least be an option?? I hate how they keep dumbing games down like this. Finding the hidden objects is alot of the point of these old point and click games.

I now also wonder if the remade sequels are just as bad as well or did they fix these issues?? Would be sad if they were all highly inferior to the originals.

So, does it work on STEAM version ???

Try it, I'm not sure. I got mine from Amazon (has Broken Sword 1-4) and doesn't require Steam.
