Axis Football 2017 v2.0 Is Now Live
Hi, folks!

We have officially launched Axis Football 2017 v2.0. Please see the list below for complete update notes.

Update Notes:

  • Redesigned and improved individual player stat tracking for games. All players - including backups - that have stats in the selected category will be shown. All individual stats are now sortable.
  • Individiual player stats are also tracked for Franchise Mode. All teams in the league and all players on the teams will have their stats tracked. You can also view the individual stats of any team - not just your own.
  • Several new stat categories have been added to the game including Yards Per Carry, Yards Per Game, Longest Rush/Pass/Reception, Forced Fumbles, and several more.
  • A new League Leaders window has been added to Franchise Mode. This shows the top 5 players in each stat category in the game.

  • Simulated matches will now take into account the current roster and depth chart of a team.
  • When you lose it the playoff, the game will now simulate the remaining games to show the conculsion of the season and the winner of the Axis Bowl.
  • Team-based season stats can now be sorted in both ascending and decending order.
  • Improved QB throwing accuracy so receivers can catch the ball in stride more often.
  • Added a "Years Pro" attribute to each player that is visible when you are cutting players. This will help show which players were just drafted.
  • Improved offensive line blocking and adjusted the logic for how often (and how quickly) blocks are broken. We were seeing a higher-than-desired number of sacks.

  • Fixed a bug that was preventing running back from being able to locate holes to run though.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the announcer to sometimes say the wrong return amount for kick and punt returns.
  • Fixed a bug in Spectator mode where the popup stats would sometimes be incorrect.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing a higher than normal number of interceptions that occur.

Just saw the video. Great stuff and I personally appreciate your and your team's responsiveness to your customers. Keep charging!

Can you please allow us to specatate any game we choose for the entire season/playoffs even if our personal team loses in the playoffs? This is a game breaker to me if it is just going to fast sim up to and including the championship when your team is elimated. :(

I just wanted to let you guys know that the improvements in gameplay are really noticable - my games are decided by my offense and defensive stops, and the games are a lot more competitive. I love the player stats, but nerfing the interceptions and kickoff returns, giving the AI a good line, and increasing the passing accuracy have collectively improved this game in a dramatic fashion! I think that the running game might still need a few tweaks, but in my last game both teams rushed pretty well and I actually had to cover the AI running game a little. I am not entirely happy with how hard it is to run on the inside, but even there my blocks held enough to get a few yards. Nice job with these improvements - the game is finally getting really fun to play!

This is a great update. Here are what i would like to see.

Slow the game down. Slow down the collisions. Show off the physics engine.

The player's arms reaching in the air is still silly. Having a player turn around to catch the ball and then having the player run the wrong way for a second really takes the fun out.

This is a strong update, but not quite there yet.

Great game, I'm really happy to finally see a Football game on PC! I'm really having fun with it. I Just bought the game over the weekend to soak up some of the pain from watching the Cowboys get destroyed. My biggest complaint about the game is field goals. I've played through half a season and I've kicked well more than enough field goals from 50+ yards and have not missed one. It's almost impossible to lose a close game, All I have to do is get half way down the filed and kick a 55 yard field goal, no problem.

On the other hand the AI seems to be horrid at field goals. From what I've seen, it's 50/50 if they even get the extra point after a touchdown. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, I haven't played a consol or pc based football game in the last five years, and I've not lost one game. It seems way too easy to game the system by counting on A.I. Mishaps with field goals, ect. or just kicking rediculusly long and almost impossible field goals.

I look at the stats at the end of the game and it should have been an easy win for the other team. Double the rushing yards, better passing yards.

Fixing the field goal issue's would be a great start.

My second wish is AI play calling to be improved. I've seen the AI not go for it on 4th when they are only down by a score with 2 mins left in the game.

Other than that, great job. I'm really looking forward to future updates!
