Crash in first minute
Not even a minute in and it crashes straight after the Square Enix logo when playing lmao...

Specifically the crash will happen when Max has her first monologue. Two things happen :

Either your screen freezes but you can hear audio and music in the background
Game just crashes.

EDIT :

For everyone who has this problem , i just finished playing it and what i did was :

Restart the game ,
Change graphics options to whatever then reverted back to default
Ran as admin

Works perfectly for me ,

Second Edit :

I would also like to add that my Avast antivirus flagged the .exe as suspicious and i had to add it to exceptions.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS :

- Change the save file slot you're playing in before launching the game
- Lock FPS to 60 (or 30)
- Run the game in Windowed Mode
- Add -single-instance to the game's launch options in Steam.
- Validate the games cache integrity
- Reinstall the DLC
- Add Life is Strange to your Antivirus Whitelist (worked for AVG and Bitdefender)
- Reset Graphics to Default
- Spam the ESC key right as the crash occurs
- Delete any language translations if you have any.
- Picking the option on the right of the first choice
- Add -windowed to the game's launch options in Steam
- Disable subtitles in game

Third EDIT : Seems a lot of people get it to work by disabling subtitles. Recommend that to be the first thing you should try.

Maybe there's something to do with the subtitles? I tried locking fps to 30, checked the files, put default config, windowed mode... Nothing worked. Then I changed the save slot and took off the subtittles and it worked. After that scene I was able to restore to fullscreen and put subs on with no problem.

I tried your recommendation with turning the subtitles off and it fixed the crashing problem for me. I also believe there is a script/programming issue related to the subtitles going on with the DLC that is causing the crash rather than a firewall or graphics related issue...No wonder the subtitles were turned off when I first launched the DLC episode

Interesting. I'll add it to the list of solutions.

check file integ guys .. it worked for me... it might be an update error

All solutions mentioned above are unrelated to this problem, don't waste your time. It's PURE random crash which occurs like 5 out of 6 times.
