I want to like this game, I really do

But beyond a pretty funny meta humor subplot Icey has severe issues with enemy placements and i-frames. Tell me why I get maybe 5 frames to tell if a boss is using a laser and if I'm out of dashes I just get comboed for 60-70% of my health? This game ISN'T EVEN THAT HARD, its just frustrating as you cant get any counter abilities beyond hoping you land on the ground and not immediately get hit by something else.

Oh also that one section where every time you checkpoint you have to fight a double boss over and over? Who thought this was a good idea? It's just ANNOYING

Is the contrarian actually free if all he can do is the opposite of what he is told?

Maybe I'll finish it but it couldn't engage me enough with just simply moving to the right and simple fights

Bastion (For the narration) was a lot better

Were a lot more fun to me and grabbed my attention better

Yes I only played for 15 minutes, however, all of the games I mentioned kept me going within minutes.
