New Character Ideas
So, what new characters would y'all like to see? I would honestly like to see a pirate, who would steal gold, an alien of some kind, a zombie, an arsonist, a builder who could make or break walls, a ghost, a devil and an angel, a superhero of some sorts, and a just a big monsters that walks around and destroys everything! Please feel free to add what you would like and how the characters would act like.

I'm up for any new class ideas accept for zombie. I just feel the whole zombie thing is so over used in games that the thought of more just makes me sick. I know it's just my opinion, but I had to say something.

I dunno ... a zombie char thats special is it converts its kills to other zombies would just be a ton of fun ... you lead the zombie horde :D

I reckon the thing with new classes is to make sure that they offer new gameplay - how is playing this class different to any other?

For me the strongest entries on that list are "builder" and "pyromaniac" We don't have any characters who specialise in creating environments (through new walls, traps, whatever) to lure enemies into and the game has a fire spreading mechanic that I only found after I'd unlocked every character because I'd just not been encouraged to set fire to anything before that point.

(I understand that this is my fault and fire should be its own reward, but I still think there's a case for a fire loving character)

I definitely like the builder character, had not thought of that. I think that would be an excellent class alone or especially as a support class of sorts in a multi-man team.

-Demolition Expert
Special Ability: Plants C4 (or some other type of explosive) and can set it off from a distance)
Just couldn't be too OP but I think it would be great to have a class that could more easily blow up walls via special ability.

-Summoner
Special Ability: Can summon a monster (or perhaps less frightful creature) that will act as a follower would; you could have them attack, stand guard, etc.

-Driver?
Really not sure how this one would work since it is very likely to be OP but would be really neat to have a class that is specifically best with groups.
Special Ability: Taxi (Summons a taxi that the driver well...drives. Other members can jump inside the vehicle and ride along)

I think summoner would be at its most interesting if summons were indiscriminte in their attacks - as likely to go for you or people you're trying to rescue as your enemies. Infinite followers would just make it too easy to summon and send them in and summon and send them in...

Maybe also a mage for different types of elements currently in the game?
They'd probably have low health and strength but be very effective with their special ability. Or perhaps there could be a class such as this, to make it interesting:

Confused/New Mage
Special Ability: Casts a random spell; List of spells below
*Fire (Shoots a fireball directly ahead of sight)
*Blizzard (AoE wave attack in front of the mage that causes enemies to freeze)
*Poison (AoE around the mage that poisons nearby enemies)
*Confusion/Rage (somehow affects nearby enemies and causes them to be confused or enraged)
*Fail (Nothing happens).

This could be a lot for a mage but the random factor may (?) outweigh having so many abilities in one.

More Gangs, and variety between them. Perhaps some cultists.

This is what I say in every thread.

Honestly, I feel this is suppose to be wacky fun. So I support the mage just because I love spell casters. Zombie would certainly be fun I think, or maybe make that be a X-3 Hazard?

Saint of virtue:
Strength: 1/4
Endurance: 3/4
Accuracy: 1/4
Speed: 4/4

Speical: Scared prayer: the saint prays to the Scared Booster Pack so others may draw upon new life, and those around around the saint will heal up to half-health. Those who are netural can become loyal if healed this way.

Traits:
Pacifist: Will not use any weapons that cause damage.
Giver of blessings: can give gifts in your inventory for a chance to convert another person to a follower. Non-Weapon items have a higher chance of conversion.
Heratic: We don't do no "helping others" 'round here! Property owners will get annoyed at you if they see you aiding others.
Unholy Temptation: Anybody annoyed or hostile with you has a chance of being becoming loyal if they see you helping others. The less allies you have the higher the chance.

A mercenary or bounty hunter would be neat. Perhaps begin the game with a way to get contracts every level like missions, some could be dead or alive.

I love the idea of the wild mage, but some of the options need to be more dangerous to themself :P For instance:

Fire. Creates a wave of fire centered on the caster, doing reasonable damage and setting things alight (dangerous in oil or wooden buildings since you're not affected by the spell but the secondary fire does its thing)

Blizzard. A wave of ice rocks fall from the sky (similar to the missiles event), 2-6 fall in a fairly large area centered on the caster.

Rage. Everyone within a radius becomes raged (needs no change, that's already potentially dangerous if used in the wrong spot)

Poison. Everyone nearby becomes poisoned and strengthened (fine if you've got your retreat planned, but a problem if it's an in fight panic click)

The point being that playing the class becomes about having a plan for each result you might get and/or reacting to changing your circumstances.

The Infected - You escaped from quarantine. But your health is constantly slowly draining! It's a race to find the cure! (The overall objective.) In the meantime, keep on eating.

(Un)fortunately anyone you "special" cough on will catch the endless slow "poison"/"confusion"/and other random effects. And when one person touches another... it spreads like wildfire! Though there is a countdown period before any symptoms begin... Maybe a minute, give or take before people become infectious? Maybe gibbed bodies leave behind an infectious gas cloud?

The Killer Robot - While not the invincible model; this armored killer robot is equipped with rockets. It seems someone sent him on a mission. Is he from the future?! Most people will run if you get too close, or even get trigger happy if you freak them out. Only the resistance and blind men will talk to you.
Can't eat food or use drugs, but can process most objects to restore health.

The Frankenstein (xArChIez idea) or The Cannibal - "Use" gibbed body parts from different classes to gain possible special attributes of that class. Sometimes for the better, or sometimes for the worse... Like Withdrawal from Investment Bankers!

The Slaver - Starts with a few slaves? And a few bomb collars? Can place them on unsuspecting victims that are sleeping, dizzy, or maybe just don't notice you from behind. Soon as they are marked however, they will likely either freak out or try to kill you at once... or even serve you occasionally. May have benefits with other slavers. Also is disliked by common folk.

The Rioter - Similar to the comedian, except may put people into riot mode. Also most should focus attacks on common objects instead of people. And should usually disperse when things get extreme.

The Firefighter/Firestarter - Ever since I saw a hydrant shoot water in the industrial complex, I've been waiting. If there is a pyro, then there should be a firefighter ;)

The Fallen Aristocrat - Similar to the slum guy, except from later levels? Weak but charming?

The Resistance Leader and/or The President - Maybe after beating the game, you can lead the Coup yourself as the Resistance Leader, instead of hiding in base! Or in a twist, play the President, coming to retake his seat of power!! (Or perhaps it's just a Clone of the president, that doesn't know he's a Clone.) Or is it the other way around?!

The Developer - Play as........... the Developer!!
Backstory: He created this game, but something went wrong. Ooops, help him survive!

Just some ideas~

Haha would certainly be very hectic as this class.

I have some more suggestions, just as thoughts; not concerned about base stats, just the special ability at the moment.

1) Ranger
-Special: Can shoot arrows from his/her bow

2) Tribesman
-Special: Can shoot tranquilizer darts from his/her blowdart

3) Axeman
-Special: Axe, duh. Can use it as a melee attack or also to destroy any structures made out of wood

4) Beastmaster (This would require the addition of animals)
-Special: Tame; the player gains an animal follower that will do his/her bidding

5) Drone Expert
-Special: Drone. The player can control a drone that can hover over building structures. It would have a limited timer of course (battery life) and also leave the player completely open to attack. Since this would probably cause a balancing issue, I am unsure if it should be given any attack features but I do believe allowing it to be used as a distracting sound generator would be useful in certain scenarios

6) Crazed Indian
-Special: Throws a tomahawk directly ahead. Instant kill for most NPCs and also does a special kill scene (tomahawk stuck in victims head). Would also be neat if it got stuck in the sides of structures and required the player to directly recover it for it to be used again (instead of a cooldown).
