Controller Support

My wired xbox 360 controller is not working with L4D despite its supposed "Full Controller Support" and the controller works fine with every other game..

i have the same problem but only if turn on xbox 360 controller after initiate the game. So try
to turn on controll before start L4D. it work for me.

Now i have another problem, i cant chat playing with 360 controller, i press "Y" but nothing happen, I have the same problem in dead island.

Yeah I soon discovered this myself! had no problems with chat but...

The L4D config can be picky as to how it maps the buttons on the controller. I use a xbx360 controller to play as well. And it works fine, but I had to mess with the config file to get it to work right.

But Myr is right, the controller must be plugged in BEFORE you launch the game. If you forgot, just exit the game plug the controller and start the game again.

When you say chat, you mean with the mic right? You have to map a button on the controller for that, otherwise it won't work. If you want, I can give you my config for the controller, it has the same layout as the 360 version of the game.
