And since those servers have no admins, it's pointless to report such players. They know this and that's why they continue to be dochebags. The best way to avoid playing with such people is to join a group or server that has admins to deal with such players. Or set up or rent a server yourself. I offer public servers for any of Valves games for 0.90 cents per player slot per month.
I run a L4D1 server and don't allow team killing. They get kicked for doing it and if they come back and do it again they get banned.
Yea, I know (like probably all of people using Steam Community Forums) you're big business man. I still don't like modded servers.
It was deleted because no name shaming on here.
You can juust tell your friends and block him.
Single player is more of a practice game.
Multiplayer is more of the co-op. adds challenge, good teamwork I seen people get no FF all game. Hell I say make it deadlier.
I agree, but we also should not have to baby people around. That's why Valve doesn't take care of it themselves. I have a perfect idea on how Valve can hel[ minimize significantly from you playing with people who are disruptive to the game for their public servers, but I doubt they will do it.
Not all modded servers are the same. There is a lot of variety, just like anything. I started like you, played on nothing but un-modded servers for over a year. Then I came across some good mod ones that I really liked. I've played on practically all public modded servers ever since. Most of those are no longer around and eventually I set up my own. I can easily say that I have one of the best modded L4D servers ever made on a technical level (whitin the top 5) and not too many people can say that.
All Valve games allow for customizing, and if you kow what can be done and how to do it, I doubt you'd want to play on an unmodded server again because you would make the game more appealing to you with what ever type of set up you wanted. And you could even have multiple set ups to change at will if you know how.
It would be very unrealistic if it was disabled be default. You can disabled it though, just not on a public un-modded un-admined servers, which are pretty much all of Valve's servers, the preying ground for team killers and idiotic trolls. Consider yourself fortunate if you can play full game without running into at least one team killer while playing on a Valve public server.
Only issue I had was in left4dead 2 sometimes they glitch and wont save anyone. Which is rare.
Yeah, well… Using server browser usually ends if getting on that server. And usual kick.
The bad thing is I much more prefer Advanced instead of Expert as it doesn't require to watch everyone's asses all the time and I can snipe a bit (usually someone sooner or later runs at my shot line) and through scope you don't pretty much see your surroundings. And Survivor's footsteps ain't that loud to hear them easily.
Someone could easily lie, so they don't allow anyone to do it. Just report them, block them, and tell your friends.
once in console I even saw a message that said "coach can't save rochelle" and he kiled himself.
