Loading times make this unplayable...

I love it as of the first fifteen minutes. I get to Europa and attempt to load Chapter 1 and the game proceeds to sit... and sit... and sit... and gets to about 90% loaded and then is "not responding."
I've researched and found nothing difinitive to help alleviate the issue. Sounds like the XBox live version is slow loading af too.
Any thoughts?

The game appears to just lock up for me during the loading screens, making it unplayable. For the first couple chapters, restarting the game helped and it loaded within 10 seconds. Once I hit chapter 3 or 4, restarting no longer worked, so I'm stuck.

Dunno what's with it for you guys, but it loaded each chapter fairly quickly (less than 30 seconds) for me. I've got 16GB RAM, i5-6600k stock, and it was loading off of a 7200 RPM WD Black. Maybe try toggling that streaming loading option in the settings (mine was off).

Its a problem with AMD CPU's apparently

This seemed to fix the loading issue:

run game- goto Options- Display- lower resolution and set to windowed mode (not fullscreen) so you can access task manager without hanging. Restart Game.

follow these steps:

Open Task Manager
Right click on The Turing Test and choose "Go to details"
TheTuringTest.exe should now be highlighted
Right click on TheTuringTest.exe and choose "Set affinity"
Uncheck all boxes except 2 CPU boxes. It doesn't matter which.
If that doesn't help, try unchecking all but one

Then:

Find your way to TheTuringTest.exe as explained above
Right click on TheTuringTest.exe and choose "Set priority"
Select "High"

If it loads then you should notice the sound skips, but you should be able to access task manager easily now. (Windows key or Ctrl Alt Delete) Set affinity back to all cores and it should work fine now. You might have to set affinity to 2 or less every loading screen untill a fix... :( But its a fix for now I guess. Thanks Oghamsmith!!!

I wish this worked for me, I still get hanging at the loading screen. I guess I have to restart the game each chapter :(

Hi! The AMD CPU bug (causing long load times and crashes) has now been fixed in the v.2 patch released today (01/09/2016).

I'm using an AMD CPU and still experiencing loading issues. Do I need to download the V.2 patch separately or should it have installed automatically when I downloaded the game yesterday?
