How the hell do you beat the first challenge? There MUST be a concept I'm not understanding. Something with the spells, but every time I use them I end up getting the spell on my guys, thus failure.

Hey! I discovered a strange bug. At the end of the game, at the soul counter screen, my counter starts with a very high value. When I first noted (but could be already before) it was like 17534/2000. After the first soul reaches the orb, the counter change to a normal values like 1733/2000, and counts up to e.g. 434/2000 as normal. I was playing and enjoying this game on my Steam Deck. I had about 10 hours of progress. Yesterday, my game froze and crashed when I bought a key from a locksmith. Ever since, I can't get the game to start anymore. It either freezes on the loading screen or just crashes right back out to the home view. I suspect the crash corrupted something, possibly my save.
