is there a way to mute typed messeges from people?

I notice alot of harassment in typed messeges against new players, and since i am a new player, i find the statements very harassing, so i was wondering if there is a way to block their messeges..also, is there any non-harassing servers out there for newer players that might not play like a pro due to disabilities?

I have issues with my hands shaking and may appear that i am not a good player, when i am actually physically disabled. If you read my steam page, most people will see i inform people i am disabled. This is also not the first fps game i had people hating on me. I would like to play a server where people don't swear at me for not being able to move or something..

Hmm, try to get on a server with active admins. E.g. i and my moderators don't allow such behavior at my server and ban/kick ppl insulting other players ;)

thanks for the offer..Let me know what server that is and i will gladly join it. I just hope you can cope with a newbie still learning how to play the game and is disabled both..

get used to it , even Teamfortress2 dont have that mute-textchat liek you say

ignore them is the most useful tool :D

How am i supposed to block it from my children who maybe watching me play this behind my back? My hands?
