Anyway for me to download a earlier version of the game?
I'm trying to find on steam a list of the earlier versions of the game (Mount and Blade: Warband) so I can use the Diplomacy mod. This mod only works for the 1.153 version. The current version installed 1.160.... Frustrating to say the least. I've searched steam and taleworlds.com and could not find any solid information or a list.

Normally I would jump in my research foxhole and spend an hour or two scouring forums and support pages, but... at the moment, life does not permit that.

If there is anyone willing to help me out, I would appreciate the info or links.

Thanks.

Anything that requires 1.53 or above should work on 1.60. Most of the changes post-1.53 only apply to the NW DLC or the workshop intergration, neither of which affects mods.

(assuming you're referring to diplomacy 4.3, I can attest it works perfectly fine).

Indeed, most updates don't break mod support. Most of the updates are related to multiplayer or other such things these days. The only updates that would break mod support would be something that changes file structure or resource files.

The problem there is that you are using ACOK. From what I've seen/heard, that mod is a right harlot to get working right in general, let alone without the additional hurdle of being on mac. Pretty much every other singleplayer mod, even TCs, built for 1.5 or later are still working fine, with only minimal errors, which points toward ACOK just not being built too well in the first place.

Do you mean this: http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1887

If so, then are you using the steam version of the game?

Hey, I wasnt pretending like I had everything going for me. An inafmously glitchy fan made mod on a system that was added as an afterthought. If it hadnt worked in a previous version, I'd think I was crazy

Eh, was more my opinion on badly coded mods in general. And then there is the fact you are gaming on mac OS *Shrugs*. I've never seen the appeal to playing on mac OS when you have the choice (I'm referring to things like dual-boot, or even booting from a usb drive).

Try actually reading the thread. What you asked has already been explained.

There are no download links in this thread. Aside from one you yourself mentioned, which has litlle to do with the initial topic of this thread.
Putting it bluntly, if it says it will work with 1.153, or even 1.150, it will most likely work with 1.160.

Okay I downloaded the mod. It works, and my computer did not blow up. Thank you everyone. kaiyl_kariashi thanks and thank you very much DarthNachoz.

Good to hear you got it working. For some other very old mods that actually do require an older version you can download them directly from Taleworlds. However, some changes with Steam DRM have caused some problems with older versions even when they are not installed using Steam and Steam is not running.
