If I were to write a fanfiction it wouldn't focus on Ymira, belligerent Drunks, or King Ragnar probably lol.
Truth be told, I'm constantly doing this in my head when I'm playing. I tell myself stories, explain things in terms of game lore, do things that have no actual game benefit like buying food I don't need from villages just so the peasants can have some extra spending money, put oddities in my castle storage so I can bring them out during feasts, etc.
I wouldn't really know how to go about inflicting that upon people though. LetsPlay still confuses me, how is watching some other kid play a video game, a thing? Fanfiction is something I should consider, I have plenty of free time and it would give me something to do other than shouting at the kids on my lawn.
I know that there's a lot of fanboy and fangirl fanfiction writers out there but I'm not among them; any fanfiction that I might do (as in, complete) wouldn't be fanboying.
I also tend to think of characters in games like this in a sort of "narrative" way. Sometimes I feel like some others play games in a very "utilitarian" or "formal" way but personally I like that "narrative" style, especially for something like Skyrim. And Warband also offers plenty of opportunities for your character's narrative before the events of the game; even during the game. I guess I'm just an artist in a way lol can't help it.
And yeah I don't watch let's plays usually. I will listen to one if my roommate is watching--the ones he watches are pretty funny. But I tend to watch videos discussing ancient and medieval weaponry, equipment, tactics, and such lol. I guess my roommate would probably (or probably does) think that's weird lol.
There are tons of really amazing documentaries and videos put out by really talented and knowledgeable people. I think I might go watch some German dudes fight with swords right now actually.

I watched a video by Homgang Hamburg I think it was, which was of full contact Viking axe and shield fighting--now I know that at least eventually, they were just having stupid fun with it, but I love how they're like "Homgang Hamburg...where full contact axe fighting means...FULL CONTACT AXE FIGHTING." Lol.
I've never tried writing erotica lol, but I might try something--it might be more comedic, whether that means that the actual content is going to be comedic, or that I might deliberately write it to be so bad that it's funny and good lol.
Of course the real question is, Ymira or Matheld?
I entered my lordly quarters, and there Matheld stood, stripping away her armour. I closely studied her body. She was built like a true sturdy Nord woman. Broad hips, large chest and long blonde hair. "Come closer, mi'lord."she said to me.
"The musket ball just missed my face and shattered the barricade next to me. Splinters flew everywhere and stung my face with shards. I hoisted the petard (is there any other way to move one?) and charged to the edge of the enemies fortress.
Under cover of the wilting foliage, I set the device and lite it. I scream in pain as a projectile launched from above stings my arm. A quick lunge is all that spares me from the explosion as the wall is breached.
I gather myself up and charge with my fellows. We begin to take the flag, when the last defender mortally wounds me with his bayonette. Edward runs to me. He is crying, but he gives me his blood and makes me immortal. We tounge kiss real hard. Then we ♥♥♥♥ on the Kaiser. The End."
The wind slithered in from any crack it could find in my room. I only just noticed the candles flicker before they were snuffed out. The last words I had read had been about a greedy fat lord and how his action cost many many their lives. I was more alone in that darkness than I had ever been.
I cursed and yelled for my servants, but then I heard a rapping at my chamber door. "Who is there?" I cried. There was no answer. Again, the rapping came like the beating of a dying heart. "Damn you, who is there?!?" I demanded as I sunk beneath my covers in fear. Nothing. The moments went by like hours then I heard it.
From the dark abyss a horrid voice called out. "Feast! FEAST!" I knew then that I was doomed. King Harlaus was having another feast. " SPOOOKYYYY!
After battling many thieves and reavers on the roads, I had amassed a small fortune. I had good and brave men with me and a ship. I decided to head to Denmark to seek my awful vengance. But before this could come to pass, I came across a Troll's Bridge.
The bridge was nothing extraordinary, save for the fact that as I approached a large man appeared. After several threats a fight was inevitable. I howled a challenge and charged the lumbering oaf. That's when everything froze around me.
Suddenly, there was a flash and I was right back before the bridge as if time had stopped and started over. Instead of my sword, I held the Troll's Club in my hand. He was nowhere to be seen. Just then, the Halfdan appeared wearing all black with black mirrors over each eye.
"Player character " he said to my confusion, "What you see around you is not reality, but a buggy game. Nothing is real here. You can stay in this lie or see the world for what it truly is."
I felt deep down what he said was true, as I realized things like this happened all the time here. "All you have to do to break the cycle is press Alt+F4." he whispered as he faded away.
I did.
Okay here's something:
"'Loyal soldiers! Today we shall meet and defeat our enemy as in any day prior! Prepare thyselves! Our organized formations shall prevail--charge!'
And so the brave Knight, Playerchar, charged forward upon a beastly yet noble steed. So tenacious was his attack, that the enemy noble was killed, and the enemy continued to set their troops anyways.
It was the decisive moment, for even the apparent rabble of a formation that were his soldiers, actually a clever ruse and superior formation beyond that of the commoner's comprehension, could have been foregone in this battle. The fell to lance, sword, and arrow alike.
Soon, the soldiers all joined in the chorus, the celebration of victory."
Okay here we go:
"Ymira eyed me across the table. Oh, how the red scarf peeking out over the top of her haubergeon accented her blonde locks. Her braids, intertwined, bade me become intertwined with her...and so our spirits were congruent, for we moved from the table to the bed....armor and uneccessary clothing were relegated to that which we hurried across on the way to the bed..."
Bad, right? ;)
