Annoyed, can someone help?

Say I've tried to get back into Napoleonic Wars. I remember loving the DLC so I decided to play it again. I was having a blast until recently. I was in the server when I was sudden;y discconected. I assumed it was just an error, so I tried to rejoin. Apparently, my profile name was taken. So, I exited the game and booted it back up. I joined the server, I checked and no one had my name. After a minute, i was disconnected again, and it was the same problem.

I have no clue why this is happening, and if anyone knows why, I would be appreciated to hear. I did nothing wrong on the server, so i know I wasn't kicked, and at this point I doubt its just a bad connection ( and I know my names isn't ACTUALLY taken). I really just want to play this games, but it won't let me. I would really love to know why.

I'm quite sure it's your connection to the server dropping. The name taken issue is because after you get dc'ed it takes a while for the server to register that you left. Waiting 30s or so seems to be effective. But if you keep getting dc'ed you should check your connection quality (speed, packet loss).

I guess that could be it, but I'm still unsure. I haven't tampered with my connection at all, and it worked fine before. But now I can never play the game for more than a few minutes. Oh well, maybe it is just my connection acting up for no reason.
