I play at 135% difficulty, and can still win most tournaments at level fivish... I probably could earlier, but I do not enter them until my proficiencies are all at 100.
I know all that, the thing is, I dont have epic fighter character, I have 1 in power strike.
Yeah, I guess its just me then, I was just worried that I tried out the game of thrones mod and it somehow messed up my game.
anyway thanks for replies
Or Bytenwalda repolished if you want a real challeging mod. Succeeding in a game thats so much harder than native grants much more glory.
Also you can be a merchant in the griddy Bytenwalda based Game Of Thrones mod.
There are static wars so Essos is peaceful but full of very active bandits and priates that make being a merchant much cooler, with business AND you can buy acres, take out loans ect.
If you are up for that, I recommend going to saltpans, lots of salt to get you started if you take out a loan. Furs are cheaper in the northern villages from what I've seen.
Then again I've barely ever gone beyond that wall, I am a wildling, with little money, near starvation.
Sounds cool, I will try it out some time
But before I get into mods, I usualy like to play the vanila, since I have not played vanila, I think I will have a lot of fun with it as well.
The Native game just feels bland after you play mods and theres so many mods you wont get bored and Im sure you'll find one for your taste.
To download mods from ModsDB all you need is the program WinZip and then you simply drag them over to the Mount and Blade Warband, Module folder. Pretty easy.
To patch a game, you click into a game folder, and then copy the files over the orginals.
OR just download them directly through steam and it does it for you.
You can also hunt animals for the furs. And make sure you download the patch which fixes most of the bugs.
And yes I literally butcher my prisoners for meat in the north and the Nights Watch are brutally tough. Every battle is bloodbath but it was a great trumph when a thousand wildlings I united on an open field, for the first time overcame a Nights Watch commander. I throughout it would beat my shield and scream profanities as I hacked down one after another. Hundreds of wildlings fell and piled but they we surrounded and until they were hacked apart from every angle with arrows, javalins and stone axes.
Afterwords I captured and then questioned him, when he called me a Cur and Brigand and many other insults, saying I should drop to my knees and beg for forgiveness. I choose to silt his throat, which caused a massive honor drop and many lords disliked me after that.
However, now I wear his black scaled armour, with a fur cloak I took from an animal I hunted and killed.
My one advise is to not enslave villages. It causes your relations with all villages to drop. Looting and burning just makes that one village hate you, and its lord, and that faction haha
i got the patch, got it first actualy, thought it was all of the mod.
Just make sure when you put the patch on that it asks you if you want to overide files and merge folders.
If it doesn't ask you that then you did it wrong.
