Want Sims 3 friends that dont use in-game cheats!
Add me on Sims 3 as "MysteryMouse". I want friends that legitly get everything they get in game. I hate seeing people flaunt their mansions even though they typed in a code to pay for it.

What a strange attitude to have. Sims 3 is a single player game - how someone else plays their game does not effect you in any way. Some people just prefer the building aspect of the game and using cheats is the easiest and quickest way to get into that, I certainly wouldn't condemn them for it.

Personally how I play depends on my mood at the time - I have save games where my sims have started poor I and have stuck to the rules of the game, and other games on different maps with other sim families that i made instantly rich. To each their own.

Thats called instant gratificaiton, cheating, and should be frowned upon. Building is FREE for anyone who wants to build or edit a lot that's for sale. Just go into the "edit town" mode. You can add whatever you want there and then save up the money with your Sim of choice and move in. Or better yet, save up and build a house from scratch then move in the second its done. Or you can also buy some crappy building, then save up for its upgrades. You lose all value of the game and sense of "earning".

Why would you want to play the game the right way?
Because it protects you from loosing intrest in the game and not playing it through like you would any other game...

You should only use cheats once you have accomplished every single goal in the game and the only way for you to do anything new is ..... with cheats. But then, there is so much DLC that you can just add more content and keep playing.

Trust me.... if you play The Sims 3, the right way, you will find yourself putting more time into playing and less time into being bored and switching to a different game.

CHEATS = BORING and WRONG WAY TO PLAY

Thats your opinion - personally I don't believe there is any 'wrong way to play' with a single player game or see how the way that anyone else plays their game when it has no effect on mine is any of my business.

As I already said, I play some games using cheats and some without, its fun for me either way.

The household that I've uploaded earned her money "the right way" and has moved to a 3rd house that isn't custom built. Though, I dont' think it saves the house too if someone downloads that and added her to their game.... >.>

My main game however, is my business. ;)

Kiya's got the right idea. After all, if "cheating"--as you call it--affects no one but yourself, why be so heated about it? People may do what they want with their own games; it's how they best squeeze their enjoyment out of it. Now don't get me wrong, I find cheating in multiplayer games to be really distasteful, as it ruins the experience for all other players involved, but if it's my game, I'm going to play how I want to play. All I'm saying is you shouldn't make too big a deal out of something like this. Finding your own clique of friends is perfectly fine, just try not to bash on so many people in the process. Keeps things more peaceful that way. ;)

And for the record, I'm an avid Sims 3 "cheater" and I've logged 200+ hours that I have yet to get bored of. It just works for me. (Not sure whether to be proud or ashamed, lmao.)

not sure why theres a big debate about this. mystery wants friends who dont use codes. sad to say i will not be adding you nor will alot of people. but hey - to each their own.

I can be a true player if i want. I'm not a cheat ♥♥♥♥♥. << That word starts with a "W" and ends with an "E". :D

And again, I reject the notion that there is any such thing as a 'true player', nor is there a need to be insulting to others just because they don't share your views. :-)

However if you really want to play without using any cheats and have not already done so you should check out the Sims 3 Legacy challenge[forum.thesims3.com]. That seems like it would be your sort of thing and you will probably find more like minded people to make friends with taking part in that style of gameplay.

Meh, how about I play until the whole damn city is mine and every sim in it I created and made everything from scratch.
Mystery Mouse 25 fev. 2013 às 1:29
And I wasnt trying to be insulting... i said that myself is not a cheat using whorse.
Andorxor 25 fev. 2013 às 12:54
I just used cheats to build a giant stage, because the prefabricated didn't fit on any of my empty lots
Mystery Mouse 25 fev. 2013 às 13:09
I guess there are acceptions... but you shouldnt use it on the sims you play as... it just ruins the roleplaying part.

If the legacy challenge isn't to your taste, try Who's Your Daddy. :)

For some reason I enjoyed that one more than the legacy challenge. Might be because the legacy one loses interest for me after the founder dies off.

( O.o I went looking around more and found a list of a boatload of challenges. Goodbye spare time! http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/362585.page )

Sims is a simulation single player social game. It really isn't much of an roleplay game. You want roleplay play rpg.
