What kind of "edits" have there been?
http://kotaku.com/planescape-torment-enhanced-edition-makes-an-all-time-1793725120

Unlike Beamdog’s previous ports, there’s no new content this time around. This version doesn’t alter Planescape’s original text at all—other than a few edits supervised by the original game’s lead designer, Chris Avellone [...]

Basically Chris Avellone revised and edited his own writing at some points, nothing was changed without his okay. But he's not the type to retcon stuff for politics if that's what you fear.

Obviously the tooltips for new UI functions are entirely new though.

Maybe it will be once they allow people to actually purchase it here, haha.

I am glad they were able to use Qwinn's Fixpack.
I am guessing they integrated the WeiDU fixes as well??
I was really hoping they'd add at least some of the unfinished business content...any word on potential future patches including it or at least compatability from Qwinn?
Gonna buy either way, but might affect my recommending it or playing it right away till available. Thanks Beamdog!

They asked Avellone if UB should be included but he decided against it as some of the stuff was cut for a reason. All the information is still available though, so once UB is updated to EE-format it is playable again.

I'm in the process of creating a stickied thread.

This is good. I wasn't a fan of the changes they made to the Baldurs Gate re-release. (too much modern politics injected in)

BG:EE and BG2:EE didn't have any of that. You're referring to the expansion they made. For the most part BG:EE and BG2:EE were unchanged bar the addition of some optional extra characters complete with their own additionional interactions and character specific zones/quests(Which you couldn't access without pursuing it through the additional characters) and the totally separate arena expansion that had nothing to do with the main story.

The expansion wasn't great from the very start but that topic has been covered and dragged through the mud from the tops of mountains to the bottom of tar pits. Let's just hope future projects by Beamdog(Which I'm all for...) don't have the same issues the expansion had.

I am refering to this:

Some of the non-expansion stuff was changed too.

Yes, that's the expansion: Siege of Dragonspear made by Beamdog, released last year. Amber Scott has also left Beamdog as well as another notable figure who made the entire situation much worse(He literally tweeted Feminist Frequency asking for help because of "GamersGate"... Yeah... He was a community manager which was a really stupid thing to do and one hell of a way to state your expansion was doing exactly what people were accusing it of).
Julius Borisov  [developer] Mar 29, 2017 @ 1:58pm
It's wrong to state that there was anything in BG:EE and BG2:EE that was "changed".

Anyway, PST:EE doesn't have any new content (ideology).

Granted, with all the conflicting (fictional) ideologies already present in it, there's simply no room for more :)

I'm totally a Sensate, take it, ya Dustie berks!

Personally I would have liked it a bit if the xaositects got expanded a bit. They certainly feel... like they had much less focus than the sensates or even the godsmen.

Nothing in the article indicates that anything was changed in the original.
