Which DoW 1 to purchase

I used to have a retail Dawn of War: Soulstorm. As I remember I could only play Sisters of Battle and another race (Dark Eldar?) online/lan/custom game. Is this still the case? Do I have to buy all the games to play every race?

Well first you are correct the Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar and you will need the previous DOWs to gain access to more races online Dark Crusade gives you the Necrons and Tau Empire Winter Assault gives you the Imperial Guard and the original will give you Space Marines,Chaos,Orks and Eldar.

So if I want to play online I need to purchase all, yeah? Or can I purchase Soulstorm and use the race patcher to play online with all races?
