I think they key is to not get drawn into their battle but player your own battle and a be smart about it.
Well that's what I noticed anyways. I assume they know what they can do in certain situations, and that tends to lock my options down by alot. But in actual reality, they don't know much.
go nuts and fight him like anyone else
win or lose just know your fighting your character. which means you know what to bait for.
at the most, you'll probably feel scared your going to lose someone with less/more points. it's part of the experience.
P.S. I know ppl have the habit of taking everything I say (or ask) against me, so don't bother trying to bend this into a flame war

you basically lock yourself down to very few options, because you think that the enemy knows all the counters and can execute them at least as well as you do.
