I tried both settings on the thermo sensor so that it was both red and green. In both cases, the polluted water from the refinery does not flow out - the game says that the output pipe is full/blocked. WTF?!?...

Ok, so I get it. The game has been written to be totally broken. Specifically, you cant tell specific dupes to do specific tasks, and you can only hope and pray that the game doesn't give you cancer whilst you try to figure out how to get the dupes to do something. I have just spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to "move" a lump of polluted dirt. It was on "top priority" for like 10 cycles, and whilst my most qualified dupe casually kept walking by doing level 5 tasks the game chose the least skilled ...

It seems like a hassle to 1) make a water lock 2) vacuum out the room 3) fill it with hydrogen 4) and maybe chlorine for the balm lillies What is an easy farm I can use to get reed fiber? And maybe later plastic? (I know there are youtube videos online, but most of them seem more advanced)...
