Thanks, any info about if it's coming or when? Also, hopefully there will be a switch to Vulkan for future games so that all platforms will be using the same graphics core!
We dont have a timescale right now, but it is something we are trying to get done.

Cool, will pass that along to the community, thanks!

I'm also very interested in a Linux version!

It doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon, or it's sneaky, or i missed it.

I like this type of game, a GNU/Linux version would be great, I hope there's a way it can happen.

Be well!

+ 1 for Linux !
Also a remark: your video (the one on GamingOnLinux.com at least) does not show the split-screen feature which is why I nearly dismissed your game nearly instantly. Hopefully I saw the split screen feature mentioned on Steam. So it would be instabuy !
Hey, we dont show Split-screen racing in every trailer we produce :), but, yes, the game supports up to 4-players local split-screen. Thanks.

So, what is the official word on the status of the Linux port?

Yep, "very soon" would be a great answer, like, this week end.

it is something we'd like to be able to develop and it's great to see lots of encouragement for the game on Linux! However, we need to be confident that there is sufficient demand for the game on Linux - without that it would not be financially viable unfortunately.

What sort of demand are you wanting to see and how can it be shown? We have 10 pages here and most of that is people requesting it for Linux.

This might help you convince it's worth porting your game to Linux

10 pages equals 150 comments and if you subtract dev comments and people who posted more than once you have maybe 140 individuals. I would love this game on Linux but to demand a developer port a game that costs $16.99 CAD for 140 people is not practical. Even if everyone here paid full price that's $2378.60 CAD before Valve takes their cut. All we can do is request a port and hope for the best. Spread the word, make sure GOL knows of thos page, that Phoronix knows of it, that Reddit knows of it, share it on your social media. Hopefully more people come by to lend their support.
