Same here. It crashes all the time now, screen freezes, hard reboot.
Before the update it was working fine!

Indeed, I am having the same problems. Either my game crashes a couple minutes in (with standard HL2.exe has stopped working prompt), or I get no item server and input freezes around an hour in. I eagerly await a patch Valve, because the game is fairly unplayable until then.

It happend with me when I want to play MVM, i choose the class and the HL2.exe has stopped
