Its been a pain to play (in my opinion, the most fun class) pyro, becuase everyone going on about, how in this video, its OMG siEnctiFIcaLLY ProVEN pyRo is GaY. Im sure valve wont see this posted, but im sure many pyro players would like valve to confirm that pyro isnt gay. Anyway that would make Pyro a gay, psychopath that none of his team-mate, like who doesnt know that he is killing everyone, which im sure to many is offensive.

Already saw it, kinda old news by now. Pity that in spite of it all a lot of TF2 players don't know about this video. It's just like Lecture Valley, except not as bad with a lot more people knowing about this video than LV.

Wait, so you're saying it's been a pain playing as Pyro because people think the Pyro is gay? As for Valve saying that Pyro isn't gay, they will most likely not say that. They will keep the Pyro a mystery and for people to make theories for it's gender (like the video above). Also for the Pyro's teammates not liking him/her I'm pretty sure Engineer likes having a Pyro next to his buildings to watch for spies and the Pyro can extinguish teammates so Pyro can be liked by teammates. Also Pyro's teammates know what Pyro sees because of Pyrovision. I'm not really sure how Pyro would make people offensive if it was a gay psychopath. Regardless I'm still enjoy playing as Pyro no matter what people say because it's their opinions and you just have to respect their opinions.

I'm saying its offensive that they made the psycho gay, over anyone else.

I was refering to the "meet the pyro" video and how it showed that everyone was afraid of pyro and seemed to not like him.

That was the opposite team, not anybody on his team. I dunno, I'd dislike someone who's murdering my friends and trying to murder everyone else and setting everything on fire.

gay, hetero, bi, or asexual: pyro is pyro. I'll never understand why people concern themselves with things like that, everything we need to know about the pyro we know already. pyro is crazy and likes to burn things. origin story and sexual orientation aren't nearly as interesting, and detailing such trivial things would spoil the character completely. leaving things open to interpretation/ to everyones own imagination is a smart choice creatively on valves part

Yeah. Although the video was very well thought out, you have to assume the Valve pays such meticulous care to the size of the characters, and you have to assume TF2 is realistic. I like thinking the way a few of the people here think: Just don't worry about it, set ♥♥♥♥ on rainbows/fire and kill stuff. Valve made it unintentional, and the video isn't official, so it's really up to Valve. For all we know, the Pyro could be a magic humanoid wizard potato.

I just brought this up because i was annoyed that people actually believed the video and where making a big deal about it, at least around my area.

To be honest, I didn't think anyone outside of the shipping community cared about any of the Merc's sexuality. That's not even an official video. It's a theory, it is not "scientifically proven" in any way.

But seriously, even it was confirmed (which I doubt it will be) I don't see why it matters, except for the above mentioned people. I personally like that we can imagine what the Pyro is ourselves, and its interesting to see what others come up with.

Oh wow. And the point of this whole thread was what exactly? I hope you aren't too insecure in your own sexuality to play a character some people might consider gay.
