TF2 not working???

Someone please help me. I installed ubuto or whatever its called, ive installed tf2, and it keeps saying

like i was saying it kept saying fatal error steam failed to load: *steamstartengine failed with error 1: a steam engine instance already exists. HELP ME

Probably crashed tf2 on your computer, installing a platform programme which is completely new to your computer is likely going to crash it. If a pc already has windows on it, you should probably leave it windows and not change brands.

Anyway, in terminal run:
sudo killall steam
Then launch Steam again.
