Rampant cheating on Valve TF2 servers

Hi there,

I'm curious if anything is being done to address the cheating on the Valve TF2 servers. I've found that I will encounter a cheater at least every couple of hours. Cheats include aimbot, wall hacking, kritz bonus, and speed hack, among others. They can also change their names to match others on the server, which means that vote kicking is useless and the wrong person is kicked more often than not.

A lot of TF2 players are forced to play on Valve servers because we can't stand this new Pinion service that prevents us from setting up for up to 20 seconds at a time, especially those of us who have spent a decent chunk of money to support this game. But I find that I come across these hacks on Valve servers the majority of the time.

I've sent at least a half dozen reports to CS from within TF2 but I'm not sure if these are processed or they end up in a black hole somewhere.

Is this something that might be addressed or are we basically SOL?

What you're saying is true, that much I can tell.

Thing is that popular games such as TF2 will ALWAYS have their fair share of stupid cheaters. Nothing you can really do about it, I guess. Valve does care to some extent but they also know that there will always be a scriptkiddie using some hack.

i actually saw my first tf2 cheater recently(been playing since the WAR update, so thats really good)but 1 cheater is 1 too many. if you ever see a legit cheater let him kill you on purpose and when the kill cam zooms in on him press f7 to tag him in an abuse report

Getting a job to play tf2 would be nice, but getting a job to play on valve servers all day would be a little iffy.

just to let you know, when attempting to kick a name-changing cheater, try to match the picture next to the hackers name in the scores list (most often the standard question mark) with the duplicate name in the kick list. This makes kicking the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easy and fun! :D

I encounter many cheaters recently. These hacks are ranging from aimbots to damage hacks (both ways, taking less and dealing more). But the thing that bothers me most are the people who have some kind of Spy hack. Seeing every Spy as the said Spy, regardless if he is cloaked or disguised as any other player. There are many of them. Making Spy unplayable in some Lobbies.

A couple of days ago I was on a server with a talkative hacker and I asked him where he gets his hacks. This '♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' website is one big source of this cheating problem as I think that is where most hackers these days get their cheats as it is virtually undetectable.

So I did a bit of research and went to the website of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and found that donating $20 will get you everything you need in hacks from wall to aimbot hacks. The hack that it uses can be used continuously, you just have to keep loading it into the game making it practically impossible to stop these cheaters as they can just make new accounts in literally like 15 seconds.

Its a shame Valve cannot block websites like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because then no more cheaters would ruin good old dustbowl moments ;)
