It's stated nowhere that it's a canteen, and I'm quite certain you will receive it whenever you play tf2 on linux.

It does kinda look like it could replace the canteen, now that you mention it... Dunno why they would, but it has some resemblances.

BY march 1st, what i understand from that is that you can only get it at march 1st :/
then again im not english so might be me understanding it wrong.
i was playing tf2 when i saw the promo and i decided to relog the game just to see if i needed to log out and login again to get, ditn work dont have it yet :(

You have to wait for the update which will probably coming in today.
The item is not yet in the item schema.
As far as I understand, you get the item as long as you play tf2 before March 1st.

It means you have until march 1st to get it.
The promo isn't out yet, it will be out later tonight
