A problem im having

i dont know if this is the place to post this but im at a loss for options. i have been having this weird problem where the tabs on the TF2 main menu keep switching randomly. for example if i try to find a server, the tabs keep switching from internet to favorites to lan all on their own and at random. the same happens to the options menu and while selecting game types. any help would be greatly appreciated.
