Is the Pyro overpowered? Try to be objective here.

My vote is that he's not. He's probably the most situational class out of all of them, as he's crap on open maps and has low DPS to boot. If you got killed by a Pyro, especially one who puffnstings or uses the backburner, you got outplayed, plain and simple.

Agreed on not being overpowered. Pyro is made for close combat, and is easily killed in an open environment where ambushing is less effective.

its an extreme character. Yeah, he may kill 5-8 people at a time....but on average you die that many times trying to get that perfect shot.

Lets see what counters pyro...scout, heavy, engineer, sniper, demo and soldier to a certain extent.

He is far... far from overpowered. They get most of their kills from ambushing you, or meeting you around a corner at the worst times lol. If I see one coming straight on I can kill him with just about every class but the sniper(which I suck at).

Even as Sniper you can kill him by backpedaling with the SMG or even no-scoping him to death.

If that pyro pulls out a shotgun you're dead as a sniper. Well that's just me as a sniper, only time I ever play them is if one sniper is really annoying me lol.

Depends, if you're using a slow class they are dangerous, but never OP.
