i tryed launching it,and it said ''preparing to launch game'' and thats all that comes up.
It can take a while for the game to actually launch. How long are you waiting? If your waiting longer than 5 minutes you can open task manager and click on the processes tab, click on hl2.exe, click on end process and try restarting the game.

Do you mean start task manager becuase thats the only simalar one i can find.
Are you on a mac or pc?

If you hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC you should get the task manager window. Look at the top of that window. Do you see and tabs that say Applications, Processes, Performance? If so click on the processes tab and look for hl2.exe in the area below the tabs. Click on hl2.exe and then click on end process button in the lower right corner of the task manager window.

I checked your profile to see how many hours you played the game and I see you don't even have TF2 loaded. Whassup with that?

Actually I'm having the same issue as you nick. I'd REALLY love it to ge tit fixed, but I have a mac. If i come up woith anything i'll share it with you but i'd Love the same agreement from peopel here, Its really making me angry.

In your library mouse2 on Team Fortress 2, Delete local content.
