If Saxton Hale hired the mercs, why is there a Peace Sign effect to be unboxed from his Mann Co. Supply Crates?
Hmm?

Peace is one possible result from war, abaout 1% chance to unbox.

the peace sign is from the hippies that are activitists of the mann co store.

Read the tf2 comics first
I did, awhile ago. Saxton Hale allows hippy activists of his store or what's the deal with that?

I thought the Anouncer hired the mercs...or enslaved them...or something.
Never read the TF2 comics, not really sure how to get them, and if you ask me,
it's just a mediocre attempt to give a story to what's basically an online arcade
game with 3D models and state-of-the-art high tech programming and special
effects.

I think he might be talking about this, in which the hippies aren't supporters but protestors.

I remember that. But that isn't business, that's protesting, which Saxton Hale clearly detests.

Right, but considering how much Mann Co. and TF Industries control of the world, I don't find it unreasonable that the protesting hippies are also their customers.

While that's logical, I don't think that's canon. Until it's canon, it's pretty much fan-made b.s. No offense.

Also, why the heck would hippies buy guns?! Hats, yes, but they wouldn't buy hats from a company that doesn't give a ras about peace.
