End of Team Fortress 2?
Team fortress 2 has always been updated very often. We have seen many hundred updates go by throughout the years. There have been many MANY major updates for tf2 in it's 5 year lifetime of being on the PC.
2008: 3 Major updates
2009: 5 Major updates
2010: 6 Major updates (Golden age)
2011: 6 Major updates (Golden age)
2012: 4 Major updates
2013: 5 Major updates
2014: The redemption of tf2?
As of October 31,2013 Australian Christmas has always been a major part of tf2 history. Last year, we didn't see much of it, not enough even to Valve to classify it as a "Major" update. This year, we may not even get anything for it. The golden ages of our beloved game has ended. Is Team Fortress 2 going to be left in the dust for many years, if it hasn't already? Team Fortress Classic was left in the dust many years ago, should we see the same for Team Fortress 2? 9 years after TFC was made, TF2 was released. TF2 is nearly 6 years old, so in 3 years, should we expect Team Fortress 3? Only time can tell.

January 16, 2014
The 2013 year was the year of rebalancing. What would that make 2014?

Shut up and keep buying Spooky keys
I think it's really going downhill. We need new maps, not new hats.

I don't say it's dead yet. But if TF2 keeps adding hats instead of content really worth it, it will be.

He doesn't mean that players will stop playing TF2. He means that Valve would stop updating this game.

But I don't see a reason they would stop, and they move on to hl3 or other projects.

Valve is making less and less (major) updates for TF2. This could be because TF2 is getting older and they want to move on with other games. But it's unfair that because of other games Valve would just leave TF2 in the dust even though it still has many players.

I keep on telling myself that, but Half life 2 was made nine years ago.
People buy so many keys that this game will probably be around for a while. There's like 100 key unboxing vids. Not to mention the people who buy hats like mad.
