Make Mannpower A New Game
I'm serious. The game is pretty unbalanced due to how wildly different the classes are, but if there was only one class, then balance would be easier and the powerups wouldn't be as zany.
There's real potential in Mannpower, but given all the negative feedback, I don't think that Valve will think that Mannpower will be worth the trouble of updating and developing for soon enough. A separate game will not only give you a new game with an interesting mechanic, but that's also a whole new world of profits that Valve could tap into.
Please consider it.

It's not meant to be taken serious. Do some of the powerups need some rework? Sure, but there's nothing more fun than taking a medic and grabbing haste and raining syringes onto unspecting enemies.

I believe it's based off of quake in some small way anyway, so I'm sure Valve knows what they want to do with the mode and are going to refine it. Give it time and don't take it too serious.

Trust me, I know that it needs to be taken with a grain of salt, and I love this gamemode (Check out my profile; I even made a video about it), but I just don't see it becoming anything official. There's too much backlash.
As much as I'd LOVE using the hooks on Upward, I'd much prefer to see Valve take this goofy concept and expand it into its own game.

We already have that. It's called Quake CTF.

I've heard about that, but I've certainly never seen a Quake Live server that has grappling hooks enabled, or maybe the grappling hook is a lost art snd literally nobody uses it.

Mannpower isn't meant to be as serious as the other gamemodes or games as serious as Walking Dead. It's meant to be as serious as those weird Mariokart maps with hundreds of plugins going at once.

I don't see that as a valid excuse. I really do love the gamemode, believe me, but there's just so much more potential if Valve actually decides to flesh this out.

Thats why its in Beta..They will balance it out in some way or re-work power ups and the gamemode in a whole new way probly (Its recommned for expert players must be to confusing for F2Ps yet they play it lel) Valve is pissing alot of people off lately over stupid reasons ;s
