It should be interesting. They have a lot of experiece with class based games but not fps games. Still, the fps genre isn't exactly the most complex but if you don't deliver a product that is distguishable from the pack why would anyone play it? At best it'll be a great game that inspires Valve to get on top of their game. At worst, it's some crap that takes enough of TF2's player base that Valve starts getting scared and stupid and imitates that crap to get them back and I don't want any of that.
I do hope TF2 gets some major updates that make the game feel fresh. And the engine could use a serious tune-up. I don't know any games made in strictly Source, it's always, "Heavily-modified Source engine."
