I've met a few soldiers that aimbot hacked and even a few scout hackers.
But mainly I've encountered snipers that hacked.
There is an easy way to tell if someone is hacking
1. Go spy with invis watch
2. Cloak, exit your base and attempt the approach suspected hacker from behind
3. If he is truly aimbotting, he should turn around and shoot you instantly.
One time however, this guy had a hack that made it so that he doesn't shoot cloaked spies. But he was still hacking because he got VAC banned minutes later
'Newell called cheating “a negative-sum game, where a minority benefits less than the majority is harmed.” It's obvious Valve and other developers take the issue seriously (...)' - PC Gamer
Sounds like "giving a flying ♥♥♥♥" to me. Why would they even bother checking people's DNS caches to see if they have cheat-software trying to phone-home if they "didn't give a flying ♥♥♥♥"?
'John Gibson, president of Tripwire Interactive ( Rising Storm , Killing Floor ) told me (...) “Give me five minutes alone with a hacker or a hack writer,” he laughed. “That's what I think about that mindset.”' - ibid
Do you think Tripwire, as a company, aren't driven by profit? Or does wanting to beat up hackers not qualify as "giving a flying ♥♥♥♥" in your opinion?
Enough with the hyperbole. We apparently have an influx of cheaters for the same reason we apparently have an influx of scrubs: School holidays, and thus a sea of dumb kids.
