Yeah, maybe. Usually I'm pretty smart about that kind of thing, and can tell a bad link from a safe one, and I don't remember clixking anything bad.. But I must have done something stupid, otherwise it wouldn't have happened.
I just asked this question, because I wanted to know if my paranoia regarding trades was justified. Clearly it's not, and it should be safe for me to do trades.
you either have to click on a link and it can automatically download a program into your computer, spyware/malware
or
click on the link and give your steam credentials
other than that the phispher bots, as much as i hate to say it
ARE STEAM ACCOUNTS
which means even though they are robots/programs, they still function like regular steam accounts and thus still follow the same rules and cannot simply have a virus that infects your computer from a trade
Alright, thanks. Yeah, I suppose that does make sense, I've just been paranoid about trading since it happened.
