UPDATE FAIL

ok i know i posted a subject how tf2 wont load but NOW WHEN I CLICK ON IT I HAVE TO UPDATE IT and im like ok i needed to update steam anyway and THE UPDATE DOSENT UPDATE IT I WAITED ALL DAY AND ALL IT SAYS IS 0.00/36.51 MB it dosent go up to 0.01 and im geting kinda mad cuase on tf2 i have spent lots of time on that game and money not like 100 dollor but all o bought was keys soo PLZ HELP
