Scammed Friend is quitting, how to help him?

So, my friend recently lost his account and 100$ unusual to a paypall scammer, and has quit TF2, I want to help him feel better some how. Anyone know any ways of helping with post - scammed traders? I'm being serious, by the way.

Well, scams like that are harsh. He will likely get back into the game soon. A major update could redraw some attention.

No, it was a PayPall scam, apparantley convincing, and he traded up to this unusual.

make sure the scammer is reported on steamrep.

Maybe try to give him something? I've never had a friend get scammed so I don't know how to make them feel better but I would try to offer them an item.

He won't accept any TF2 stuff, and we have the trade history, and working the whole thing out. Still trying to track this guy down. The friend logged out almost instantly after he told me, so it is taking a while to find this guy, and the hat. This guy is also an alt F2P account, who we are trying to find. The hat is already out of the inventory.

Fair enough. Your friend sounds like he is a couple bricks short of a wall so it may be best that he forgets about trading altogether.

Yea, this happened to me and my first unusual (Smoking Barnstormer) but it wasn't Paypal, just a scam. I look at the unusual's ower history and it's dissapeared:http://backpack.tf/item/2211629287. The friend has given away all his items as well which sucks (me and Generic share this friend btw)
