Human nature is the pure answer. If someone didn't put as much effort into something they are clearly not as good at it. You can't hand someone a guitar and expect them to be able to play it. In this case, effort is money. "If someone didn't put as much money into playing the game then they're clearly awful at it." Does that clear things up?

I'm sorry if this came oout trollish but I'm serious. Think about it, people randomly judge people on whether they payed for the game or not, almost as if their jealous because the other person got the game for free.
