Cow Mangler eh?
Does the increase in shots matter when compared to the reload speed? Or does this fact actually make the weapon pretty friggen equal to the standard, except with a few extras?
I dunno, do you?

It doesn't have 5 ammo anymore.
I like it more than stock for free fire mini crits.
Not dealing great damage to buildings is a major downside, considering how good rocket launchers are for that. Plus, the lack of critboost makes it an annoying weapon for a would-be pocket medic.
I honestly don't know what to say about the Mangler, other then it is my favourite soldier weapon of all time.
Seriously, the only time I take it off is if the item server is down and I am switched to default weapons.
also i would like to ask, does anyone pull the tactic to first shoot a sticky in the air and detonate it before it hits the ground? I just love doing it for the style.
I'd use the mangler more if it had a strange version. That's really the only thing that keeps me from going back to it ever.

Don't let vanity scramble your focus on the battle.
I admit I do taunt, but it's more for comical reasons and just joking around, not vanity.
So what I am saying is actually use that tactic if you find it useful, not for vanity.

pretty much why taunt is available XD
also its less for vanit, and more for the ability to be just dat badass who just shot a sticky right at yo face and detonated it right in it, which i found is really good actually, and is the main reason i stick w/ the sticky (no pun intended)

Airstickies can be insanely useful if you're good with them, so it's not entirely a vanity thing.
CM5K is pretty crippled by anti-building damage whenver there's even a single Gunslinger on the enemy team, making it not terribly wonderufl.

If you're planning on jumping all the time but /not/ to ammo boxes, it theoretically makes some sense. But most soldiers who jump to a high place without boxes / kits -- say, the perches on Nucleus -- are going to want to leave that perch every so often for health, ammo, and to avoid being sniped or stickied, so it's still not an obvious choice that dominates all others.
Mangler has a lower damage compared to the stock! Many ppl don't acually know due to the fact, valve doesn't state it! ~Cheers! @Fedex+

They removed that damage penalty a long time ago.
The fact that it can't be crit boosted in any way is somewhat of a downside
Not being able to damage buildings is very crippling
