Anyone else think the 'End of the Line' update will be just that?
The final swansong of TF2 before Valve pull the plug for good?
Over an hour to connect to an MvM server on a weekend, previous servers now assigned to Dota 2 and CS:GO, updates solely consisting of community-created hats (ie, someone else doing all the work for them) - I think Valve are letting us know the writing is well and truly on the wall for this game...

It could most certainly be. But then, how would valve get money? I know there's other games, but tf2 is pretty much the cash cow.

Well, not exactly. The TF series could just be put on hold for other games to come out. Like the next Half Life. (Got my hopes too high with that one.)

maybe they'll fix bug now and then, but there's a good chance that they won't be making anymore content updates.

the end of the line isn't an update by valve though and they said that cool things were going to come this year so this won't be the last update.

The Ninth Doctor could be right. Disable TF2 for a while so they have some time to focus on production of the new steam engine and maybe even create Half Life 3

"cool things to come"....like half life 3? that they said was coming. updates for tf2 are coming they said. they also said half life 3 was coming.

That takes two fat guys who know the Source engine. Community will do the hard job, they'll just implement.

The reason you can't connect to MvM servers is because they all are full, and the End of the Line update is an update to go along with a community TF2 short of the same name.

Nowhere is it officially stated that the End of the Line will be the last TF2 update.

I think that valve will probably put it onn hold for a few months to let other games through, then hit us back with a big update by october mabye, that is if they dont pull the plug on it already

hit us with hats, reskin guns and MAYBE a new map
