Including them as an official gamemode will make it end up like MvM, full of people who don't know what they're doing. There's already a lot of complaints there for MvM, and that's against bots, imagine against actual players.
Valve doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about tf2, let's face it
But as wise man said, this is your solution
Heey! Another discussion? Possibly outside waldos thread? I'm okay with that.
Problem is that lobbies aren't supported or encouraged by Valve. If they would, I'd like them a bit more. Imagining how much people goes pub stomper instead of trying lobbies just because they don't know about them or dislike how they work, if Valve would encourage them the'd go and try them. And by the way they also have hour limit, so people with no clue what is going on couldn't join. Even if I think that's unfair to them, it's probably right.
Now I'm consedering in this still stays a community thing, not a Valve gamemode, okay?
That analogy to MvM is possible, but misunderstood. It's a gamemode, not a match. Restricting it to people who paid for tickets would destroy Valve's reputation. Plus, nobody knew how to play it whe it was new, did they? Taking it MvM's status now, it's a bit better then it used to.
I had more of bootcamp in my mind, the serious players usually don't go there (in mvm for mann up, in competitive for well, competitive) and so because it's readily available and anyone can go there, you'll tend to get a long of people that plainly shouldn't be there.
Point of this discussion is something else. Try and go for waldo's thread.
You get get 8 of your friends together to form a team and then start the search, where it matches you up with 9 opponents who have done the same as you.
