Worth of Earbuds
So I've been wondering how much earbuds really are. Because I've gotten many people saying that they'd trade premium for it, but on the other hand I've seen an earbud sell for 315 dollars on community market. If anyone could let me know around how much it would be. That'd be awesome. Thanks and have fun on TF2.

You can't list earbuds on the market. You were probably looking at a vintage earbuds, which are worth a TON more because they're bugged and only a few exist

Earbuds (currently) are worth 20 keys, or roughly $36

Back a long time ago when TF2 was pay to play, there was a "free weekend" of TF2 that went along with the mac update, so people who didn't own the game were still able to get buds.

About $40 USD going by the backpack.tf price and if I did the math right. It's ~$0.30 a piece of metal, and keys are about 7 metal a piece. 7 * .30 = 2.1, and $2.1 * 20 (going off the 20 keys a bud high end) = $42 roughly.

Don't take my word, though. I can't math very well.

Edit upon looking at it, I see it's untradable, meaning you'd have to gift it. People don't like paying for that. So, I'm guessing the pair you'd have would be around $37.80

Oh I just checked. The metal price has gone down. FT means it''s $1.90 in metal. The only reason I was off is because I was using a previous metal price.

If you can sell it for money and people want it, it has a value, regardless of if it's virtual or not. Saying it's worthless isn't really valid.

*Sigh* this discussion again.

Keys are $2.50 from the MANN CO store, but nearly every third-party site, and even the steam marketplace have reduced prices, anywhere from $1.50 to $2. (Market's a bit more expensive, but it also fluctuates a lot more.)

Something is really only as valuable as people are willing to pay for it, and while yes there are cases where they go for maybe 10 cents and don't affect the overall price, people tend do go by the community-site reduced prices. Why spend more than you have to?

Sorry for sounding like a whiny, immature brat that doesn't know his ♥♥♥♥. But I'm really intrigued on what this can actually do for me in terms of getting Arma III since it's on sale atm.

i recommend if you have trading cards or anything like that sell em to get 10 cents then go to the ingame store and buy a giftapult that will make you a premium player and you can trade the buds, and yeah you might be able to get arma 3 for buds just look on outpost for game sellers if you want some help or have questions you can add me ill be happy to help you

You can only trade when premium.

You have two options. You can get a gift wrap, and use that, or you need to get a premium account. (I don't even know if gift wrap works for f2p players)

If you have some spare change in your steam wallet, just buy a giftapult. They're only 10 cents and will upgrade you to premium instantly.
