Cosmetic Expansion Idea

Man having only 3 cosmetic slots seems a bit arbitrary when your only limitation should be equip regions. One more might be golden.

My second Idea would be to lift the full-moon restriction on some items.
Like the surgon's space suit. We have space guns so why is this so big?
heck we even get to see the Tin Soilder costume in the Shadow Boxers comic. Can you be a Bit leaniant with the restrictor.

Just seems like a waste while outside of a fullmoon THE PYRO'S HEAD BECOMES A FREAKING LIGHTBULB!

8 slots is ridiculous. 4 would be sufficient enough. Also from what I hear when valve added a 3rd slot, there were huge perfomance issues for a lot of people on older computers and a bunch of other bugginess.

As wonderful as it would be to have as many miscs as you can fit, it would probably result in a massive performance drop. Think of all those extra textures and polygons. Maybe 1 or 2 more slots, at the most.

what about having max cosmetics in the advance settings. higher end computers could render all 8 slots, and lower end computer could render only two or three.

Major clipping will happen if that damn Scout wears Earbuds, a Brotherhood of Arms, Max's Severed Head, Bill's Hat, Spooky sleeves, Spooky shoes, a Flapjack, and Graybanns. If these hats and miscs are unusual, every server he goes in will crash on seeing him.

1 more slot would do just fine. If 8, there would be a lot of work to be done, and the inventory system is going to go through a complete overhaul.

I agree with 4 slots due to the huge number of new cosmetics but 8... too early for that

Just 1 more slot would be good enough, even if it's just a badge slot. 8 slots is just way too much.

There are more than 8 equip regions on many, if not all, classes. That would actually be worse.

There are over 50 equip regions, so that's even worse than an 8 slot limit.

Not all classes have the all the regions(about 8 for the soilder) AND they conflict with eachother. So it is a non-issue.

Three is enough. Four would create additional social pressure to buy miscs for players just starting the game and lead to pre-teens playing for the first time to put credit card money in, often before they had time to learn if tf2 is a game they can like.

Ok fair point maybe you could have some sort of restriction, expanders maybe? IDK either way you can never really win.

Also I would like to see the full moon restriction removed from some items. not all of them are too crazy to see outside of halloween.

I agree with the halloween restrictions, definitely. There were so many neat items released this past event. But the restrictions on number of miscs all boils down to performance concerns, and likely won't happen until today's exceptional hardware becomes average.
