I've been getting random friend requests.

Recently, a lot of times when I log onto steam, someone sent me a friend request. I'll normallly have no friends or groups in common with them. (I'm posting this on the TF2 discussions because TF2 is my most played game and normally these people also play it.)

I don't see a problem, sounds like a good method to learn new friends or maybe s/he wants to trade with you.
But when s/he sends you a link and wants you to add his friend or something don't do this and block him/her - tries to steal your account.

I've heard of phishers. They don't ask me to trade. One of them just knew me because I took a screenshot if him once. The other ones, I don't know.

I'm no where near popular. Some people might start doing Hank Hill impressions over the mic if I join a server, but that's it.

its because you have items on the market and they see your item and dont wanna pay so they offer u keys or something.

for me they are instantly blocked because if i wanted to trade for items i would have put an ad out.
